Welcome from the Cedarhurst Unitarian Universalist Finance Committee! While the Finance Committee oversees the development of the annual operating budget, we aren’t just about numbers. We are also about fun, fellowship, and event planning – including planning our annual auction, fellowship dinner, and small group gatherings during stewardship season.

Our annual Goods and Services Auction is held in early November. It’s a social event and a fundraiser in which the congregation offers items for bid. Our wonderful members and friends, through auction donations, share their homes and food, their crafts and talents, and their lives with other members. It’s always a pleasure to attend purchased events and most of us plan our social calendar based around them. Every CUU member and visitor should plan to attend the Auction for the party atmosphere as well as to contribute to our largest annual fundraising event.

March/April is the committee’s other busy time as it is Stewardship Season and the time the congregation determines the operating budget for the next fiscal year, which runs July 1 – June 30. Our Fellowship Dinner kicks off the Stewardship Season and is simply a night for members and friends to gather for an evening of food, drink, and entertainment.
